The interstate fire station Cultural Center (IFCC) may be a community-based arts center settled in North Portland, Oregon, us. The IFCC was supported in 1982 by Portland’s 1st African-American official, Commissioner Charles Jordan. The IFCC is found in a very 1910-built former firehouse at 5340 North interstate Avenue and currently contains a 99-seat theater, associate picture gallery, and area for rehearsal or categories.
The center’s mission statement states that the IFCC, “is committed to making associate surroundings during which folks of each ethnic/cultural background move as artists and audience to explore, preserve and celebrate their diversity.” The building is in hand by Portland Parks & Recreation, a town of Portland Bureau, and was managed by IFCC, Inc. Till might 2010, once that non-profit ceased operations. In August 2010, management authority was given to attribute Music Center by a unanimous vote of the Portland council.
