It is one of the oldest monuments in the city of Jalandhar, and has been named after a great saint of the medieval era, Imam Nasir. According to archaeological surveys, the Imam Nasir Mausoleum is supposedly an 800-year-old structure. Every look at the spellbinding architecture of this mausoleum makes you appreciate the artistic skills of those times. The Imam Nasir Mausoleum also houses a dargah in its premises, which is said to be 1100-year-old. The outer complex was constructed long after that. The dargah is famous for housing Baba Farid, the 12th-century Sufi saint, for a 40-day stay. The Imam Nasir mausoleum is colourfully illuminated at the time of Muslim festivities. The garden around it is covered with twinkling lights, forming a heavenly sight for the onlookers. The calmness in the surroundings provides immense peace and satisfaction to those seeking solitude.
