Ilion may be a village in Herkimer County, New York, us. Ilion may be a name for the traditional town of Troy. The Village of Ilion is at the north city line of the city of German Flatts. The canal is north of the village. The world wherever Ilion is found was initial settled by Palatine Germans underneath the Burnetsfield Patent around 1725. Settlers initial established residencies on Steeles Creek, that flows through the present village into the river.
