Surrounded by three gigantic volcanoes the Iglesia Santa Marta church is located at the Plaza España in Arequipa. This historic church was originally constructed way back in 1582. Shadowed by the iconic signature mountain El Misti (elevation 5,822m / 19,101 ft) which can be seen right behind as a backdrop, the Iglesia Santa Marta houses a beautiful and imposing effigy of Jesus Christ at the cross.
