Detail InformationEdit

The parish church of Santa María Magdalena was built in the mid-12th century on an earlier Mozarabic church. It has a floor plan with a rectangular nave in seven sections and a slightly deflected axis and a squared apse. It is covered with a pointed barrel vault supported on rib arches and historiated capitals.
It has two façades on the exterior. There are three semicircular archivolts on the side, and four archivolts below an eave on the main façade, in both cases carved with historiated bas reliefs. The tower stands at the foot of the church and has three sections, semicircular windows and is crowned with a pyramid-shaped roof with modillions.
Subsequent 16th-century additions include the chapel of Santa Ana, and the Plateresque main altarpiece.
