Detail InformationEdit

The IAC Building, InterActiveCorp’s headquarters settled at 550 West eighteenth Street on the northeast corner of Eleventh Avenue within the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, ny town, could be a Frank Gehry-designed building that was completed in 2007.
Reminiscent of many alternative Gehry styles, the building seems to incorporates 2 major levels: an outsized base of twisted tower-sections packed along just like the cells of a bee hive, with a second bundle of lesser diameter sitting on prime of the primary. The cell units have the looks of sails abraded over the skeleton of the building. The full-height windows fade from clear to white on the highest and bottom edges of every story.
The overall impression is of 2 terribly tall stories, that belies its actual 10-story structure. Life-style commented that the building is probably one in every of the World’s most engaging workplace buildings. Barry Diller, the pinnacle of IAC, mandated that the facade be lined in sleek glass instead of wrinkling atomic number 22, as Gehry had originally planned.
