Detail InformationEdit

Hylton Red House was a comprehensive secondary school for ages 11–16 located in Red House, Sunderland, England. In July 2009, the school closed in preparation for the transition of its staff and students to the newly built Red House Academy – an Academy funded by the Leighton Group, hoping to provide a “balanced curriculum”, allowing its students to “pursue their own ambitions” in “state-of-the-art buildings”. The principal will be Dr. Thérèse Quincey, who was the headteacher of Hylton Red House School for its final years, under whose leadership the school was removed from special measures by Ofsted and given grades satisfactory to good.
