Located only one mile south of the gorge, Hull Cabin is that the oldest extant historic cabin close to the Grand Canyon’s south rim. This rustic cabin was in-built the late Eighties as a part of a sheep ranch, and was nonheritable by the Forest Service in 1907 to be used as a ranger station. In 1985, the cabin was listed within the National Register of Historic Places.
Hull Cabin is found during a secluded stand of mature ponderosa trees. The situation provides quick access to 360° views from Grandview Lookout Tower, hiking, equestrian and mountain biking opportunities on the Arizona path, and fishing at Russell Tank. The tiny Hull Tank, settled on the cabin grounds, could be a prime resort area for life as well as moose, mule deer, black bear, wild Turkey, collared peccary and various birds and raptors.
The cabin encompasses a capability for up to six folks for long stays. The cabin contains one chamber, a lounge, and a totally equipped room. The shower house contains a vault bathroom and 2 shower stalls with star shower attachments. (Visitors should bring their own solar-shower bladder luggage for shower use.) The chamber contains 2 sets of twin-sized bunk beds, and there’s one queen-size mattress within the lounge. There’s hauled water offered with indoor plumbing. Room contains associate degree kitchen appliance, stove, icebox with deep freezer, dishes, utensils, pots, pans and a few improvement provides.
The cabin is found close to sixteen miles east of the city of Tusayan on a hierarchical gravel road. Take Fr 302 east from road 64/180, simply south of the Grand building in Tusayan. Flip left at the junction of Fr 302 amd Fr 310, follow Fr 310 for one & half miles, flip right Fr 307 and follow the signs to Hull Cabin, close to one.5 miles.
