Detail InformationEdit

The solid timber cross at Hongar has been erected on July 20, 1980 in memory of all victims in the fields of agriculture and forestry.
On a visit to the wood carver Ludwig Glanzer in Ramingstein (Lungau), the Head of the regional Peasants´ League, Mr. Kirschgatterer, discovered a larger-than-life crucifix in the barn and encouraged his colleagues to buy it and erect it at Hongar next to Gasthaus Schwarz.
Since then, pilgrimages are held on the last Sunday every July every year.
The crucifix was renovated in 2002 and re-erected in a different place.
