Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Church is found in metropolis, Iowa, us. Designed by noted designer William L. Steele, the church has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1998.Before the instauration of Godhead Church in 1918, Eastern Orthodox Christians had to jaunt Omaha, NE to attend services.In 1920 they purchased property close to the downtown space for $35,000.There was a house on the property that was used because the parish’s initial church. Father Constantinos Harvelas served because the church’s initial pastor.
