Detail InformationEdit
You´ll find the Hochscharten Castle embedded in its own spacious grounds on the eastern outskirts of Waizenkirchen and some 12 kilometers out of Grieskirchen.
Hochscharten comprises three wings of hip-roofed three-story structures with an attic opening to the Park. The high windows are adorned with ornate plasterwork.
The Castle is some 150 years ago and originally was established from a farmstead that used to be Seat of the Nobility of Inzing. Today, Hochscharten is the property of Upper Austria´s Chamber of Commerce who runs a boarding school on the premises.
