It was built on the eastern flank 1778. The main sponsors of the church building was the merchant Johann Steiner from Telfs. In 1805, the south tower was built, the monastery “Marienberg” donated a bell. On the Portal of the main facade a figure of St. Josef of Josef Anton greets, the people. Two hundred years after its construction, the artist Wolfram Köberl decor the beautiful baroque church with the perceived ceiling frescos, depicting the Christmas story.
In the area of “outside the church,” as the church is also known, there are several beautiful chapels: in Wiese, in Schußlehn, in Egg, in Enzenstall, in Hairlach, at the postal service stop in Rauchenbichl, in Pfurrmühle and Rehwald.
