Hinchinbrooke shares municipal boundaries with Huntingdon, Godmanchester, Elgin, Ormstown, Franklin and the American border with Clinton, Chateaugay, and Burke in New York State.
Sir William Hales Hingston, physician and mayor of Montreal from 1875 to 1877, was born in Hinchinbrooke.
