Heritage Garden is located in the heart of the city, just on the southern side of Shakthan Thampuran Palace. Recently, the garden is established to preserve and exhibit valuable indigenous trees as well as flora of Kerala. Heritage garden is a good place to visit for exploring the rare species of flora grown in the mountain ranges of Kerala. The plants and trees preserved here include many varieties which come under the protected list. The natural setting of the heritage garden brings the values of Ayurveda and Siddha Schools of medicines. Many Ayurvedic plants which are very rare are growing here with special attention and care.
