The Chicago, Kansas and Cornhusker State Railway engineered a route from state capital to Herington. This route connected state capital, Valencia, Willard, Maple Hill, Vera, Paxico, McFarland, Alma, Volland, Alta Vista, Dwight, White City, Latimer, Herington.
