Detail InformationEdit

BIn the 1920´s Max Depolo from Innsbruck encouraged his friends to build an organ in the tower of Kufstein castle and to play it in memory of the victims of WW I – in 1931 this project was realized. The Heldenorgel organ in the Bürgerturm on the castle was renovated and extended in 1970/71. With its 4,307 pipes, 4 manuals and various sophisticated extras it is the largest open-air organ of the World. You can hear its sound every day at noon and in June and August at 5:00 pm as well.
