Hecelchakán could be a town within the Mexican state of urban center. The town is found some seventy kilometer to the north of the metropolis urban center. It’s the seat of the municipality of constant name. The town had a 2005 census population of nine,974, whereas the municipality had a population of twenty six,973. The municipality has a neighborhood of one,331.99 km² (514.284 sq mi).The town was supported near a cenote by inhabitants of the previous city of Xkalumkin, between the years 1500 and 1600.
