Hayat Bakshi Mosque, also known as Hayat Bakshi Begum Masjid and Hayathnagar Grand Mosque. The mosque has five double arches and two majestic minarets. Another attraction here is the ‘Haathi Bowli’ (Elephant Well) from where water was drawn by elephants.Since Hayathnagar is well-connected with Hyderabad, reaching the mosque is easy.While visiting the Hayat Bakshi Mosque, tourists can also visit some other attractions nearby like Charminar, Falaknuma Palace, Chowmahalla Palace and Golkonda Fort. For the religiously inclined, Birla Mandir, Chilkur Balaji Temple, St. Mary’s Church and the Jagannath Temple are must see destinations.Children can have a wonderful time at Numaish and the Lumbini Park. Hayath Bakshi Begum Mosque is also known as the Hayat Bakshi Mosque and Hayathnagar Grand Mosque. It was built in 1672, is one of the ancient mosques in the country and was built in honour of Hayat Bakshi Begum. The mosque has religious significance for the Muslims of Hyderabad. The construction of the mosque commenced during the rule of the fifth Sultan of Golconda, Abdullah Qutb Shah and got completed in the year 1672. Like the many constructions carried out during the reign of the Qutib Shahi family, the mosque too has been done in the characteristic Qutub Shahi style.
