Hawkwood may be a residential neighbourhood within the north-west quadrant of city, Alberta. It’s delimited to the north by Country Hills avenue, to the east by Sarcee path, to the south by John Laurie avenue and to the west by Nose Hill Drive.
Hawkwood was established in 1981. It’s drawn within the city council by Ward a pair of representative Gord Lowe.The community is served by Hawkwood school (public school) and by St. Maria Goretti Elementary (Catholic).
Students within the public system would then continue on to F.E. John Osborne lyceum faculty and so on to Sir statesman highschool and Bowness highschool, whereas Catholic system students press on to St. Jean Brebeuf lyceum faculty, and to St. Francis highschool.
