Detail InformationEdit

The new museum employs modern technology to show an original, and basically archaic tradition in all its variety.
Films from the 30s up to now give the visitor an idea about the dynamism, the primitive powers and the rhythms of these old Carnival customs.
A sophisticated slide and sound and text collages provide insight into the history of the parade and the year-long preparations such as the carving of the masks and building of the floats.
The exhibition also features old and new masks and a special exhibition on the unique Schemenlauf carnival parade.
