The Hathakesvara Temple (or the Hatkesvaram Temple) is a structurally beautiful but small temple situated on the downhill of Srisailam in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. This temple enshrines a beautiful Shiva Linga. This is a highly revered temple by the local populace. The temple idol is believed to have many powers including the curing of diseases.It is believed that this temple is placed at a spot where the renowned and most revered saint Sri Sankaracharya wrote one of his philosophical treaties. The temple is located at a picturesque spot surrounded by beautiful landscapes.
