Hastinapur is an ancient town filled with temples and other religious buildings. The town is known for its architectural brilliance. Situated in the State of Uttar Pradesh, the city was ruled by the Kaurava kings and later by the Gujjars. Many separate influences can be seen in the town. Archeologists have been excavating many sites near the old town for many decades. The Archeological Survey of India has been excavating many sites in the ancient town. The grandson of the King Ashoka built many temples in this region. However many of them are not present today. The ancient town was located along the old course of the holy rive Ganga. There are many ancient buildings that are situated in Hastinapur. A beautiful gurudwara is located in the village of Saifpur. The village is around 2.5 km from the town and is one of the most popular sites in the area. There are many other places of interest that one can visit in the town of Hastinapur. Some of the temples are, The Old Pandeshwara Temple, Karan Temple. Numerous Jain temples such as the Digamber Jain Baba Mandir, Jambudweep, Lotus Temple, Kailash Parvat, Ashtapad are located in and around the town of Hastinapur.

Hastinapura or Hastinapur is a town in Mawana tahsil in Meerut district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Located on the banks of old ravine of Ganges, Hastinapur is considered one of the holiest place on earth by Jains. It is believed to be the birthplace of three Jain Tirthankaras. There are many ancient Jain temples in Hastinapur. Shri Digamber Jain Mandir, Jambudweep, Kailash Parvat, Shwetambar Jain Temple are the main and famous temples in Hastinapur. Apart from Jain temples, Pandeshwar temple, Historical Gurdwara and Hastinapur Sanctuary are worth being seen.

They may be crowded and travelers are advised to carry light luggage.
