Harsil A small beautiful village called Harsil situated in the bank of river Bhagirathi and merging with the Jalandhari Gadh. It is nested within the shadow of huge mountains lying in the head of Baspa Valley of Indian state Himachal Pradesh. The state which is already famous for fabuous ice peak mountains and natural scenery also has this fogged beauty Harsil. The tiny village with breathtaking and bewithcing natural beauty is actually located on the way to the Hindu pilgrimage river in Gangothri in Uttrakhand district of India Situated at a height of 7,860 ft (2,620 mtrs.) from sea level, Harsil lies 73 km. from Uttarkashi, and 30 km away from Harsil, lies the Gangotri National Park, spread over 1,553 square km. Located in the mountain district of Uttarkashi is the sylvan hamlet , known for scenic landscapes and delicious apples. Sat Tal or seven lakes, nearby ( 2 km ) are a not-to-be-missed attraction.

By Train : The nearest railway station is located in the town of Rishikesh. The railway station at Haridwar is well connected to many other destinations across northern India, including Indore, Allahabad, Delhi and Dehradun. Trains can be taken to this railway station, and buses can be subsequently taken from there to Harsil. Train fares from Delhi to Haridwar will range around Rs 130 to 140.
