Hankamer is an unincorporated populated place in northern Chambers County, Texas, u. S.. It’s located northeast of Lake Anahuac adjacent to Wallisville on Highway 61. This town was named after I. A. Hankamer, Associate in Nursing Early settler to the realm. In 1900 the Hankamer-Stowell Canal Company (also known as Farmers Canal Company) started the realm rice farming which might rework the encompassing region. At intervals 2 years, 10,000 acres (40Square kilometers) of rice fields would be irrigated. The Hankamer Post workplace was opened in 1904.
