Hallstead may be a borough in river County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,303 at the 2010 census. Hallstead was based in 1787 and was named in honor of William F. Hallstead, a railroad official. According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough includes a total space of zero.4 square miles (1.0 km2), all of it land. The boroughs of Hallstead and near nice Bend ar bisected by each interstate eighty one and therefore the Susquehanna.
Hallstead lies in Blue Ridge college District. The Elementary, Middle and High faculties ar all situated regarding nine miles (14 km) south of Hallstead. The grammar school consists of preschool to fifth grade with some 488 students present. The Middle college consists of grades 6-8 and has some 297 students. The highschool consists of grades 9-12 with some 429 students. The varsity Board Consists of: Alan Hall (President), Christina Cosmello (Vice President), Joel Whitehead (Treasurer), Sofia Scicolone little (Secretary), Christina Whitney, Harold Empett, John Ketchur, Cindy Gaughan, Shane Rumage, Laurie Brown-Bonner, and Henry Martyn Robert McTiernan (Superintendent).
