Hagensborg could be a tiny community within the Bella Coola vale in Canadian province, Canada. Its census population in 2006 was 248. The vale was already the traditional home to the Nuxalk individuals once European explorers arrived. Norwegian settlers from North Star State and Wisconsin arrived in 1894, and therefore the town was named after Hagen B. Christenson, the primary shopkeeper within the space and master from April one, 1896 to October fourteen, 1910. (“borg” is Norwegian for a fortress or town).
Hagensborg is served by main road twenty, that runs from Williams Lake to Bella Coola, at the mouth of the Bella Coola stream on North Bentinck Arm (a side-channel of Dean Channel). The Bella Coola aerodrome is found in Hagensborg. Hagensborg isn’t incorporated as a municipality. Its government illustration is provided through the Central Coast Regional District (CCRD). CCRD Electoral Areas “C” and “D” every embrace a part of Hagensborg. The eastern portion is a component of Electoral Area “C”, served by Brian Lande, whereas the western portion is a component of Electoral space “D”, served by Kevin dramatist.
