The minstrel Theater could be a center for theater performance, production, education, and skilled coaching in metropolis, Minnesota. It’s the results of the need of Sir Tyrone minstrel, Oliver Rea, and Peter Zeisler to form a resident acting company that may turn out and perform the classics in an environment far from the business pressures of Great White Way.

The minstrel Theater has performed in 2 main-stage facilities. The primary building was designed by creator Ralph Rapson, enclosed a one,441-seat theatre stage designed by Tanya Moiseiwitsch, and was operated from 1963-2006. When closing its 2005-2006 season, the arena emotional to its current facility designed by French creator Jean Nouvel. In 1982, the arena won the Regional Theatre Tony Award.
