Temples dedicated to various forms of Lord Shiva like Vyadeshwar, Talkeshwar, Udaleshwar, Velneshwar, Balkeshwar and a temple of Ufrata Ganapati are some of the important temples here. Chandika Mandir is another well known temple close by. The renowned Vashishti River flows nearby. Thousands of devotees reach Guhagar to offer prayers in these temples and to get blessed by the view of magnificent forms of Lord Shiva. This small coastal town is located in a scenic environment with the background of hilly terrains up to 100 meters high with dense greenish vegetation. There are many attractions nearby the city including Budhal. Budhal is a serene and pleasant sea shore with many rough rocks in the sea shore. Dhabol power project established by Enron is located in Anjanvel near Guhagar. This is a project to generate electricity from gas. A port situated on the bank of the river Vashisti offers facilities for ship repairs, ship breaking and ship building. Guhagar beach is a major attraction to the tourists. It is an unpolluted and unexploited beach sitting proudly in the bank of Arabian Sea. With many street vendors, nice shopping facilities and restaurants, the beach serves as a weekend holiday destination for locals as well as tourists. Guhagar stands out as a unique place to enjoy the natural beauty, unspoiled by modern tech savvy environments.

By Air : Nearest airport is Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, which is nearly 300 km from Guhagar. Mumbai (Bombay) is well connected to all major cities in India and also connected to many cities abroad. Taxi services are the one direct travel possibility from Mumbai to Guhagar. It costs about Rs 5000.

By Train : Nearest railhead is Chiplun railway station in the Konkal railway region. It is connected to Mumbai and Goa. From the railway station to Guhagar is about 40 km and it costs nearly Rs 500 by Taxi.

By BUS : Many Maharastra Government public buses are operating between Guhagar and Many cities nearby. Tourist Volvo buses are regular between Mumbai (356 km, route: Panvel – Wadkhal – Murud – Diveagar – Bankot – Dapoli – Dabhol – Gohagar) and Chiplun (40 km from Guhagar) costing about Rs 900.

By Taxi : Guhagar is well connected by a road network and national Highway. The tourist can reach to Guhagar by taxi. The normal Indian taxi charges of Rupees 8 to 20 will be charged for each km.
