The Great Double could be a bronze sculpture by the French creator Alicia Penalba (1913-1982). One sculpture named lupus Grand Double (1962-1964) is on show within the sculpture garden of the Dutch Kröller-Müller repository.Another (1972) is on show outside the MGIC building in metropolis, Wisconsin.
The Great Double measures twenty eight feet high and weighs twelve tons.The sculpture was created by the Tesconi & C. Fonderia D’Arte S.N.C situated in Pietrasanta, Italy.The Great Double resembles AN organic kind. It’s created from many alternative spherical and rectangular forms, and incorporates a surface that somewhat resembles bark.
The one on show in metropolis stands between the MGIC building and atiny low park, as if to be a stepping stone; it merges the organic and therefore the artificial . The good Double is actually a monumental sculpture. Standing vertically at 840 cm (over 2 stories)it challenges the encompassing trees inside its proximity for dominance, likewise because the MGIC building, to that it’s adjacent.
