The Grand Promenade runs in a very north-south direction on the slope behind the bathhouses, between Reserve Avenue and Fountain Street. Construction on the promenade began within the Thirties and by the start of warfare II the promenade was a ranked pathway lined with gravel.
After several false starts owing to designing and funding issues the promenade was finally completed within the early Nineteen Sixties. The paving brick was replaced in 1984.
