The urban center Theater was originally in-built 1928 as a music hall in Lawrence, Kansas by the Boller Brothers. It absolutely was restored in 1934 as a cinema. The primary film shown there was parliamentarian Montgomery’s 1934 comedy Hide-Out. The podium was restored once more in 1993 and repurposed as a comedy club/concert venue, drawing acts like Nightwish, Smashing Pumpkins, Ben Folds, The Flaming Lips, The Strokes, and Weezer.
