The American state Governor’s Residence is that the home of the Governor of American state. The present residence is found on the southwest corner of the American state State Capitol grounds in Bismarck, and is that the second official residence that has been designed for North Dakota’s governors.In 1955, the American state general assembly approved House Bill 761 providing $200,000 for a brand new governor’s residence to be designed as a result of the present mansion was during a state of unsoundness. Construction started in 1959 and was completed in 1960. Governor John Davys was the last governor to measure within the previous mansion and also the 1st to measure within the new residence. In 2000, a whole reworking of most of the house was done.
