The Government Museum, Bharatpur  within the fort has been converted into a museum, displaying a rich collection of antiquaries, exquisite sculptures and some ancient inscriptions. The sculptures speak volumes about the art of a by gone era and culture typical of this area. Government Museum, Bharatpur was established on 11 November, 1944 in Lohagarh Palace. This museum primarily consists of 581 stone sculptures, 10 inscriptions, 120 terracottas, 13 metallic objects, 670 coins, 1966 weapons, 196 miniature paintings and 861 local art & crafts.
