The Cowles Center for Dance and also the arts (formerly the MN Shubert arts and Education Center) may be a flagship center for dance in downtown urban center, MN dedicated to providing a performance, rehearsal and body home to quite twenty MN arts organizations and academic resources broad. The middle was developed as AN incubation project by Artspace comes, INC and includes 3 buildings: the historic Shubert Theatre (renamed the Goodale Theater), the Hennepin Center for the humanities and a connecting three-story atrium. Construction of the middle began in 2009 and it opened in 2011.
Integral to the Center’s mission is providing high-quality arts education to students throughout the State of MN. The Cowles Center is committed to linking students and artists in larger MN and also the Twin Cities with Cowles Center artists and humanities organizations victimization Internet-based technology. The Shubert Theatre building at 516 Hennepin Avenue is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
