The Golub Castle is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved fortresses in Poland and undoubtedly the most distinctive feature of the District of Golub-Dobrzyń. The castle is famous for its extraordinary location on a steep hill.
At that time it was a major centre of cultural and intellectual life, well-know throughout the country. In the latter half of 16th century it was thoroughly rebuilt adn received reneissance features. Now it is open to tourists who are welcome to use the hotel, the coffee bar and visit the museum located in its premises. Numerous cultural events are organized in the castle, the most spectacular being: the International Grand Chivalry Tournament.
