The Glenwood Bridge could be a bridge in city, Pennsylvania, that carries Pennsylvania Route 885 over the Monongahela River. The initial bridge was designed by the Penn Bridge Company of Beaver Falls and carried streetcar tracks between city and Homestead.
It was later paved with wood to permit vehicular traffic to share the crossing. Permission was given by the general public Utilities Commission on Gregorian calendar month eight, 1962 for city Railways to convert streetcar routes fifty five East city via Homestead and Braddock and ninety eight Glassport to public-service corporation, because the replacement bridge planned didn’t incorporate streetcar tracks.
