Genco University is a first of its kind, online Kenyan university located in Parkside Towers, Nairobi, Kenya. We are currently seeking accreditation from the Commission for Higher Education so that our campus, purely online or blended approach meet international recognition.
In 2008, The Commission for Higher Education team led by Prof. Lenga composed of select professionals from CHE and beyond visited our head office premises on Mombasa Road in order to ascertain our readiness for commencement of operations.
The report from the Commission of Higher Education was submitted to Genco University, save for a few small problems, we generally had been given a clean bill of health. Eng. Dr. Kioko Mang’eli joined us after a three year stint as the Managing Director of the Kenya Bureau of Standards. Dr. Mangeli was instrumental in the conceptualization of the e-university as the initial vision for Genco University and we are glad that he will be spearheading the team that will roll out the operations soon. The Commission for Higher Education came for a site inspection in May 2010.
