Garcia may be a municipality placed to the northwest of the city metropolitan space within the state of Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Garcia had, in line with the 2005 census, a population of fifty one,658 persons. It borders the municipalities of myna, Escobedo and Hidalgo to the north; to the south and east with Santa Catarina; and to the west with the state of Coahuila.
The municipality was named in honor of a Nuevo Leon native Joaquin Garcia, WHO was born within the town and WHO served 2 terms as governor of the state of Nuevo Leon. Before the name amendment, the municipality was known as Hacienda First State urban center el Bautista First State Pesqueria Grande.
