Located in the northeast quadrant of the Galle Fort the clock tower lies at high point from which the rest of the fort is visible so its worth walking up to. The historic tower was built in 1707 and cast in 1709 and is an important landmark. The clock tower is built adjacent to the Moon Bastion a fortified wall were cannons could be emplaced.
