Once a favorite hunting ground of the Maharaja of Bikaner, the Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary houses the beautiful Gajner Palace and the Gajner Lake surrounded by enchanting lush greenery. The Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary in Bikaner is home to a unique and varied wildlife, which includes Indian Hares, Nilgai (Blue Bulls), Desert Foxes, Chinkaras, Black Bucks, Wild Boars, Deer and Antelopes etc. The beautiful Gajner Lake attracts thousands of migratory water birds like Imperial Sand Grouses during the winters. The sanctuary provides an ideal opportunity to watch and photograph Imperial Sand Grouses who migrate here from as far as Siberia. The Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary Bikaner also has a sizable population of Waterfowls, Indian Houbara Bustards and Demoiselle Cranes.
