Detail InformationEdit

The cemetery Chapel was secularised at the end of the18th century by command of the emperor Josef II and the tower has been removed. However, you can visit the noteworthy gothic crypt. The first chaplain of St. Martin, Georg Dienstmann, funds by his own a tomb for himself and his successors. The star-vaulted thee ship hall is supported by mighty four octagonal pillars. After World War II the crypt was converted to a worthy war memorial. The tomb memorial, a colossal aluminium block on a volcanic limestone pedestral, shows a dead warrior and was made by the sculptor Alois Dorn.
