Detail InformationEdit

In the autumn of 1997 the “Friedensglocke des Alpenraumes” (peace bell of the Alps) was built in Mösern. The largest bell of Tirol with a weight of more than 12 tons, a height of 2.51m and 2.54m in diameter is situated on a small hill at the southern outskirts of the village of Mösern. The bell is being erected above a bronze plaque (3.80m x 10m) which holds all the names of the communities of the Arge Alp. Daily at 5pm you can hear the peace bell. The swinging of the bell is a real adventure, and the sound a experience of a very special kind. “I ring for good neighbourhood and for peace in the Alpine countries and remind you of the foundation of the Arge-Alp in 1972 in Telfs-Mösern”. This is the inscription of the peace bell.
