Fremont may be a city in John C. Fremont|John Charles Fremont|explorer|adventurer} territorial division, Baron Friedrich Wilhelm Ludolf Gerhard Augustin von Steuben County, Indiana, us. The population was two,138 at the 2010 census. Settled in 1834 as Willow grassland, it became the Village of Brockville once it had been platted in 1837. In 1848, it had been renamed to honor John C. Frémont, “the nice Pathfinder”, partially as a result of there was already a Brockville in IN.
