Detail InformationEdit

“Fremantle Cemetery is a 46 hectare cemetery located in the eastern part (Palmyra) of Fremantle, Western Australia. Established in 1898, it is known as the final resting place of Bon Scott and several other notable Australians.
The cemetery has become the final stop for many travellers as they explore Australia as it has become fashionable to mark the end of a long pilgrimage to “”have a beer with Bon”” as seen in the movie Thunderstruck. On 9 February 2008, following the death of actor Heath Ledger, his remains were cremated at Fremantle Cemetery; a funeral for ten members of his immediate family followed, with his ashes to be “”scattered in a family plot at Karrakatta Cemetery””, in Perth.”
