Fox Lake may be a village in Grant town, Lake County, Illinois and state capital town, McHenry County, Illinois. The population was nine,178 at the 2000 census. Several Chicagoans establish summer homes in Fox Lake. The village is set among the Chain O’Lakes, a good place to swim, boat, jet ski, and go tube and boarding.
