Fort Recovery may be a village in Mercer County, Ohio, u. S.. The population was one,273 at the 2000 census. The village is close to the placement of Fort Recovery, 1st established in 1793 beneath orders from General Mad Anthony Wayne. Fort Recovery was a stop on the metropolis, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Joe Louis Railroad that connected metropolis to Chicago and St. Louis.
