Fort Moore was Associate in Nursing historic U.S. Military Fort in l. A. , California, throughout the Mexican War. Its approximate location was at what’s currently the Hollywood highway close to the intersection of North Hill Street and West Chavez Avenue, downtown.
The hill on that it had been designed became called Fort Moore Hill, most of that was removed in 1949 for construction of the highway. Capitol Hill was placed one block north of Temple Street and a brief distance south of gift Day Chavez Avenue, between the l. A. Civic Center and Chinatown. The fort is currently memorialized by the Fort Moore Pioneer Memorial.
