Fort Douglas MacArthur could be a former u. S. Army installation in San Pedro, la, American state (now the port community of Los Angeles). Alittle section remains in military use as a housing and body annex of la Air Force Base. The fort is known as in honor of general officer Arthur Douglas MacArthur. His son, Douglas MacArthur, would later command yankee forces within the Pacific throughout war II.
In 1888 President Grover Cleveland selected space|a neighborhood|a district|a region|a locality|a vicinity|a part|a section} dominating San Pedro Bay as AN unknown military reservation supposed to boost the defenses of the increasing la harbor area.
