Fort Bridger was originally a nineteenth century fur mercantilism outpost established in 1842 on Blacks Fork of the Green River and later a significant resupply purpose for wagon trains on the Beaver State path, CA path and Mormon path. the military established a post here in 1858 throughout the UT War till it had been finally enclosed 1890. atiny low city, Fort Bridger, Wyoming, remains close to the fort and takes its name from it.
