Fort Atkinson may be a town in Jefferson|United States President|President|Chief Executive} County, Wisconsin, United States. it’s situated on the Rock watercourse, some miles upstream from Lake Koshkonong. In 1996, cash Magazine named Fort Atkinson “One of America’s Hottest very little Boomtowns.” Fort Atkinson was named once General Henry Atkinson, the commander of U.S. forces throughout the Indian chief War. the town is found at the positioning of Fort Koshkonong, that was used throughout that war. a duplicate of the initial 1832 stockade has been designed simply outside of city, though not at the initial website, nor within the original type that was at the confluence of the Rock and Bark Rivers.
